Dont' Text and Drive' Campaign Information
The Law Office of Vincent J. Ciecka understands the dangers of distracted
driving. We want to share some startling facts:

80% of crashes and 65% of near crashes involve some form of driver inattention.

75% of all American teenagers own cell phones and 66% of these kids text message.

Over 90% of teens admit to doing multiple tasks while driving, such as talking on the cell phone, eating, channel surfing and interacting with friends. Almost 65% of all teen passenger deaths occurred when another teen was driving.

49% of adults report they have been a passenger in a car when the driver was texting

Text messages have become the preferred method of communication for American teenagers. Texting and driving is not only against the law in many states but can easily turn a harmless drive into a nightmare. The key to stop senseless deaths and accidents is education. Talk to your teens about this issue. We have provided several links below to websites and videos relating to texting and driving.
Our office is proud to have worked with several area high schools and community groups in promoting the anti-texting message. We have provided thousands of anti-texting bands in an effort to educate and remind people of this danger.
